Welcome to the Grace Community Church Magnification Ministry!  The Grace Music and Worship Ministry leaders want to express our sincere appreciation for your interest and hopeful participation.  God’s desire (and ours) is to see you grow in your ministry and in your Christian walk.  There is a place for you in Grace's Music & Worship Ministry!

Whether you sing, play an instrument or enjoy the technical side of a church service, you'll find a multitude of opportunities to use your gifts for the Lord at Grace Community Church.  From mission trips to music camps and major musical productions, we have creatively developed ways of encouraging you and your children to strengthen your musical and worship leadership skills

Mary's Notes View

We stand before the congregation locking arms to come both humbly and boldly into God's presence, realizing that every word honors Jesus.  When we sing, it is not to impress, but to inspire and change hearts.  Our joint audience is God Himself.  We sing contemporary, traditional, southern gospel, classical and black or white music (or somewhere in between).  We understand our calling and are passionate about fulfilling it!

The Music and Worship Ministry at Grace offers vocal, instrumental and technical opportunities for infants, young children, mid-high youth, high-school youth and adults.  Our purpose is to utilize our God-given musical talents to promote the Word of God in a unique, creative and inspiring manner.

NURSERY AGE THROUGH 6TH GRADE CHILDREN are invited to take advantage  of the incredible opportunities available in the Evening Children's Ministry.  Childcare for nursery through kindergarten age children is available on Sundays (and other times) beginning at 6 p.m.  Beginning at 6 p.m. the Evening Children's Ministry offers programs that include Bible lessons, memorization, games, music and snacks.  Evening Children's Ministry wraps up a 7:45 p.m.  Children should be picked up no later than 8:00 pm.  Don't miss this wonderful time to make new friends and learn about our loving God.  Evening Children's Ministry runs concurrent with the school year.

MID-HIGH YOUTH (grades 6, 7 & 8) meet Sunday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Youth Center.   Opportunities for musical and technical leadership are available to those interested.  Please see the Pastor of Youth Ministries or click here for further information.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH (grades 9, 10, 11, 12) meet Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Youth Center.  Opportunities for musical and technical leadership are available to those interested.  Please see the Pastor of Youth Ministries or click here for further information.

THE GRACE WORSHIP CHOIR meets from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. every Wednesday during the school year. Breaks in the choir calendar agree with the school calendar; (i.e., holidays, spring break, summer, etc.).  In addition to leading the congregation in music at least once a month, Grace Choir presents special music for Easter, Church In The Park, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

WORSHIP CHOIR GUIDELINES

Every August, January and prior to Easter, Grace Worship Choir invites new members to join.   This is done by filling out a brief registration form and visiting with the music director.  If the person wishing to join choir has little or no musical experience or knowledge, recommendations will be made based on what is best for that individual and the choir as a whole.

MEDIA MINISTRY

The Media Ministry supports the worship services at Grace by providing video and audio aids.  For the person interested in the "techie" side of ministry, this is an ideal place in which to serve.  Contact Jason Prince @ 575-623-5438, jprince@4grace.org or click here for a list of related support ministries.

DISCOVERY CLASSES

The Discovery Classes (101, 201, 301, 401, 501) are very important at Grace, especially for people who serve in the music ministry.  Pastor Rick developed this series not only to help church growth and ministry, but also to help individuals:  1) learn how they fit into the body of Christ; and 2) discover how they are gifted not only for music ministry, but for other areas as well.  To serve on a rotating basis as a worship team member you must be a “Discovering Membership” (Class 101) graduate.  Individuals who serve in the music ministry are strongly urged to finish all five Discovery Classes as soon as possible.  Doing so benefits each person as well as the church as a whole.

CHILD CARE

Childcare is provided for children while parents are involved in Wednesday night rehearsals and/or other ministry obligations.  A registration form needs to be filled out for each child needing care.  Children in attendance will be under the supervision of approved childcare workers provided by Grace Community Church.

Thank you again for your interest and participation.  The Grace Music and Worship Ministry looks forward to serving the Lord together with you until He returns.  May God bless you for your willingness to obey Him and give of yourself in this ministry.
