There have been many influences in my life, but one of the strongest was the life and death of Jim Elliot—a missionary to Ecuador who gave his life reaching the people God placed on his heart.
As a young man, he prayed that if God didn’t have his life burn long, that he would at least burn bright!
To say the least, he burned bright and changed the lives of millions.
In memory of Jim Elliot and the others that have inspired us, I have included a few of my favorite thoughts of saints gone by. I hope you enjoy their wisdom as much as I have.
"He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose"-- Jim Elliot
